Every year, new trends come onto the scene. However, there are some that also seem to hang around! Which trends can you continue to rock this year?
Tribal
Tribal fashion dominated women’s clothing throughout the past few years, and this is a trend which is set to continue this year. However, tribal trends will evolve into something which is more contemporary and modern – a quirky take on tribal if you like. Throughout the past years, this trend was something which was very ethnic and utilised earthy colours, such as brown and rustic reds. However, in 2019, this trend will become more experimental; utilising neon colours, pastel colours and diamantes in order to give a quirky and modern edge.
Peplum
Peplum style tops and dresses give an added dimension to a look and are great for a high fashion effect. A lot of people think that this is a style which is only suited to skinny frames, but that could not be further from the truth. Peplum clothing is extremely flattering and is great for extenuating your curves.
Military
The military style is something which constantly comes in and out of fashion, and thus is unlikely to ever be viewed as outdated. This trend is great for those who want to give off a confident and dominate edge. There are some fantastic military jackets which look great with a pair of skinny jeans, a slick of red lipstick and your hair worn up in a high bun. This is a great way to give a smart edge to a casual look as well.
Blue
The great thing about the colour blue is that there is a huge selection of different shades and so there is something to suit all hair colours, all eye colours and all skin tones. Trendy tunics in pastel blues look beautiful for the springtime, especially those which have a slight green tinge to them. Navy is a great colour for formal occasions. And, cobalt blue is a great choice when adding a bit of excitement and energy to your outfit.
Leather
And finally, leather is a material which has really progressed in the fashion world over the past few years. It wasn’t long ago that leather was only considered an option for skirts and nothing else. However, there is now a whole host of contemporary and quirky takes on leather; leather leggings, leather blazers, leather dresses and even leather t-shirts. This provides a great way to emulate an edgy look. Moreover, you don’t have to spend lots of cash on real leather as there are lots of wet-look garments which are much cheaper in price yet work just as well.
The five trends mentioned in this article are assured to be some of the top looks in women’s clothing for 2019. If you already have some of these styles in your wardrobe then you can use them again throughout this year. If not, then you can enhance your look and give that modern edge, by embracing the vibrant take on the tribal look for example.
