We wanted to have a short vacation in a relaxing place that’s not too far from the Metro. While browsing, we bumped into a post sharing soft opening rate promo for a new resort hotel at Pasay – the Lime Resort Manila. We booked via Agoda for a two nights stay. Total price is Php7,484.16 for a Standard Twin Room (inclusive of breakfast buffet).
As I checked the Facebook Page of Lime Resort Manila, I saw they have an available room that has a private pool. We decided to upgrade our room for our second night to Premier King Bayview Pool Suite and added Php9,041 for the room upgrade.
Now let me share with you why you should consider staying at Lime Resort Manila, the pros and cons of a hotel in its soft opening phase and our experience with their Standard Twin Room and Premier King Bayview Pool Suite.
Lime Resort Manila Soft Opening Phase:
- They only accept cash and bank transfer payment
- Wifi and mobile signal interruptions
- TV channels are not yet configured (still on chinese program)
- Construction workers and some construction materials are visible in most part of the hotel
- You can only order snack food on their restaurant
Requirements at check-in:
- Payment for the Accommodation and Incidental deposit of Php2,000 (per night) will be collected upon Check In. Excess deposit will be refunded

- Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and additional charges may apply

Lime Resort Manila Standard Twin Room:
(Php3,742.08 / night, booked via Agoda)
- Decent room having all the basic necessities we need
- Has two separate single beds. We tried requesting if we can have one queen size bed instead, but it’s not possible
- Separate shower and toilet which I love!
- It has a mini ref, tv, electric kettle, hair dryer and safety deposit box
Lime Resort Manila Premier King Bayview Pool Suite Room:
(Php12,783 / night, booked directly at Lime Resort Manila)
- Spacious room with your own private pool
- Has one king size bed
- Separate shower and toilet
- Bathroom has his and hers sink
- Extra table and chairs inside and outside the balcony

Pros and Cons (during our stay)
Pros:
- You can have deliveries outside
- Walking distance to Seascape Village and other nearby restaurants
- Overlooking Manila Bay
- Swimming pool is clean
- Architectural, interior and exterior design is amazing
- Staff are very accommodating
- Food served is tasty
Cons:
- No intercom or landline to contact front desk, you may reach them via viber only at the moment
- Swimming pool is not heated
Did we enjoy our stay?
Definitely! With its current soft opening promo rate – it’s a good deal! Hotel room prices are reasonable. With the amazing view of overlooking Manila Bay, infinity pool and hotel’s interior and architectural design – each spot is instagram worthy!
Eyeing for some food adventure? Seascape Village is just outside Lime Resort Manila, just a few steps from the hotel and you can enjoy a sumptuous selection of fresh local seafood while enjoying the picturesque view of the Manila Bay!
Despite some minimal drawbacks, our short staycation at Lime Resort Manila is one for the books! Given the chance, beyond any doubt we would love to come back!

You would definitely enjoy your stay!
I think the views would out weigh any of the cons! I like a good deal, must check it out!

Agree! Plus good food!
Dealing with any business during their soft opening always comes with pros & cons but I love how willing and accepting you were to their situation. Not going to lie, a cold pool would be a bummer for me. But is sounds like the Lime Resort Manila has a lot of Pros working for them!

We swim during noon time until sunset, so the water is inviting when the sun heat is perfect!
After reading your review I am curious to try this resort in Manila.

Having a private pool is lovely!
I’d love to visit the Philippines. I’m only waiting for the pandemic to stop and then I’ll go. This is a great tip on where to rest my head when in Manila – a city I will definitely visit 🙂
That’s awesome you guys had a blast and enjoyed it. And it seem a wonderful place to go to. Thank you for sharing!
The price for me would be expensive I must say as I live near Manila..I think I am more into a low cost budget where I can get what I need but of course I want to experience an extravagant stay in a hotel like you did 😜 thank you for this review!!!
It sounds like it was worth some of the inconveniences. It looks like a beautiful place to stay.
Instead of the hotels where I usually stay, I’m considering staying somewhere else. The Lime Resort appears to be a really interesting place to stay. I’m looking forward to my visit. 😊
Wow, a private pool! I am so there. I would love to swim in that pool all day. These rooms looks really lovely, I also love the views!
The resort looks beautiful and calming. The pros outweigh the cons. I am sure you had an amazing time.
Wow this sounds like a great place for a Staycation or a Vacation! I am not so bothered by the pool not being heated, so there really isn’t any cons for me.
Hi do they serve buffet breakfast?
Author
Hi Lester! Yes they do serve buffet breakfast
I went there because of this blog post and in all fairness, she gave a reasonable review plus the view from all angles was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
But:
1. The check-in process took 3 hours even if we have reservations.
2. Understaff. The mass resignation of housekeeping, and the low number of receptionists in check-in/out booths. The one we saw as the food prep team in the penthouse at 9 pm was the same people who made our breakfast buffet at 9 am. I asked them why they said they are low on staff.
3. TAKE CARE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES! So they, in return, will take care of us, your customers. While waiting at the check-in, I asked them how was she, she smiled and said, I didn’t have any breaks yet, no breakfast or no lunch. Haven’t seat down yet too. I was saddened about their situation as well. The management should’ve prepared for the flock of tourists and not let their staff shoulder the burden as if they are being paid well.
4. The premium king suite room has good amenities and views, but the smell is off. Also, the elevator ride is cramp & scary, and I’m not even easily scared by elevators. 😆
5. Mobile signals and wifi are worst. If you are here for business trip, do not check in here.
6. The price per night is not justifiable with the overall experience we have had. However, since it is similar to a “soft opening” or “introductory phase” I hope that this business would now understand and improve its services to its employees and customers alike.
We did make the best out of the situation, but definitely, our first and last trip to this hotel until we hear TRUE good reviews. 😉

Hi! So sad to hear your experience and I really appreciate people sharing their personal experience for others to make reference as well. We shared our TRUE personal experience during our stay. And I also appreciate you sharing yours 🙂
1. The 3 hours waiting for the check-in process is so frustrating! Glad “ours” took less than 5 minutes only.
2. Mass resignation, wow! This shows something is wrong with the management which I agree with your third statement.
3. Take care of your employees – in any businesses, small or big, employees should be taken care of! There’s no excuse for such.
4. The understaffed situation could have caused this scenario, as you mentioned the mass resignation of the housekeeping department. Hence, it’s not an excuse as customers paid expecting an awesome stay experience. Luckily during our stay the room and pool were clean.
5. Wifi and mobile signal interruptions were mentioned also by the hotel prior to booking as they are still upgrading their signal booster – and we expect the worst scenario as we’ve read this also in some reviews. Thus, we’re there for vacation so no biggie 😉
6. Even the most well-known businesses have shortcomings, and through our feedback as their customers hopefully they hear us out and see an improvement on their services. And they should not forget to prioritize their employees as well.
I suggest you voice out your feedback to Lime Resort management as well for better visibility and for improvement. We’ve previously emailed them here manila@lime.ph
Ooh wow this place looks like the perfect spot to getaway and have a relaxing break.
