3 Ways To Find A Job You Love

Wouldn’t it be amazing if you could have a job you actually enjoyed? You’ll wake up every morning and genuinely be eager to get to work. When work is fun and enjoyable, it doesn’t even feel like work. It’s almost like you’re getting paid to do something you love – which is the dream we all hope to achieve.

So, how can you find a job you absolutely adore?

3 Ways To Find A Job You Love

Step 1: Make a list of your main interests

What do you like doing? It doesn’t matter how random this might seem; make a list of everything. Initially, you might find it hard to come up with this list. But, think about what you do in your spare time or what puts a smile on your face. Even if it’s something as simple as watching Netflix or playing video games – put it on the list! Do you like practising different makeup looks? Add it to the list! Do you enjoy shopping for clothes and putting outfits together? Add it to your list.

You get the point, and now you can move to the next step.

Step 2: Research jobs relating to these interests

Take your list, open up Google, and start searching for jobs relating to your interests. You will be amazed at how many different ideas spring up.

For example, let’s say one of your interests is watching true crime documentaries. A strange thing to form a career around, but think about the options. Why do you like these documentaries? Because you enjoy the mystery-solving elements. In turn, you can pursue jobs that fall under this category. Perhaps you might consider a job in cybersecurity. It’s fairly easy to get into – you can attend an NCSP Bootcamp and gain good qualifications – and you then basically become something of an online detective. Now, you’re literally immersing yourself in the world of true crime.

Alternatively, what if your interests revolve around fashion? You could become a designer – or even a personal shopper. It could be your job to take on clients, observe their interests/styles, and then pick out outfits for them to wear. Who knows, you may even venture into the world of celebrities, becoming a celebrity stylist.

No matter your interests, you can find jobs that relate to them in some way. Do your research, then proceed to the final step.

Step 3: Get ready to apply for jobs

By this point, you should have some jobs in mind that you love the sound of. They focus on your interests, so you know you will enjoy doing them. Now, you just have to apply for the jobs. To do this, you need to look at the job and make yourself the perfect candidate for it. Gain all the skills and qualifications, and work on getting the necessary experience. Then, submit your applications and wait for a call!

Why spend the entirety of your life doing a job you hate? Even if the money is good, it will eventually put a mental strain on your well-being. Instead, search for jobs you genuinely enjoy – it makes your whole life much better
